49ers Sign LB Mark Nzeocha Off Cowboys’ Practice Squad

The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday that they’ve signed LB Mark Nzeocha off of the Cowboys’ practice squad.

Nzeocha receives a one-year contract from the 49ers and takes the roster spot of DE Tank Carradine, who was placed on injured reserve.

Nzeocha, 27, is a former seventh-round pick out of Wyoming by the Cowboys in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was entering the third year of a four-year, $2,344,348 rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $615,000 this season when the Cowboys cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Dallas later signed Nzeocha to their practice squad.

In 2016, Nzeocha was active for six games and recorded three total tackles.
