49ers Sign OL Ben Garland To One-Year Deal

The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have signed veteran OL  Ben Garland to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Garland, 30, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Air Force back in 2010. He spent over five years in Denver before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the Falcons’ practice squad.

The Falcons brought Garland on a one-year restricted contract worth $2,914,000 for the 2018 season and was testing the market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2018, Garland appeared in 14 games for the Falcons and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 14 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
