49ers Sign Passing Game Coordinator Mike LaFleur To Extension

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the 49ers have signed passing game coordinator Mike LaFleur to an extension during the postseason.

LaFleur had interest from the Packers, given that his brother is HC Matt LaFleur, but it appears as though he felt it was best to sign a new deal with the 49ers.

The Eagles were linked to LaFleur as a potential landing spot, given that they currently do not have an offensive coordinator. LaFleur, 32, got his coaching start as an assistant at Elmhurst in 2009 after he finished his playing career there.

LaFleur made the jump to the NFL as a coaching intern with the Browns in 2014. He also worked for the Falcons before joining the 49ers as an offensive assistant in 2017.
