Ian Rapoport is reporting that DE Kerry Hyder has signed a one-year deal with the 49ers.
Hyder, 28, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech back in 2014. He spent a year in New York before signing a future/reserve contract with the Lions in January of 2015.
Hyder returned to the Lions on a one-year, exclusive rights contract before eventually signed with the Cowboys.
In 2019, Hyder appeared in 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 17 tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 51 edge rusher out of 107 qualifying players.
