49ers Waived DB Jered Bell From I.R. With Settlement

The 49ers waived rookie DB Jered Bell from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Wednesday, according to Matt Maiocco.

Bell, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Colorado back in May before signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the 49ers. He stands to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

The 49ers waived Bell with an injury designation last Tuesday to make room for WR Ryan Whalen.

During his four-year college career at Colorado, Bell recorded 142 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, three recoveries, five interceptions and seven pass defenses.
