AFC East Notes: Bills, Dolphins, Jets

Bills

Bills GM Brandon Beane said “nothing’s changed” with RB LeSean McCoy regarding his on-going legal matter and that the team sees McCoy staying around long term.

Nothing’s changed, and we see LeSean here for the future,” Beane said, via Kate Brumback and John Wawrow of the AP. “You take all allegations seriously, but until the police say there’s something there, we’re not going to act on anything without them saying there’s legit evidence. It’s an open investigation. Nothing has come forward that said any of these things are true. So until that would happen, I don’t think anything will ever change.”

Dolphins

Dolphins WR Albert Wilson said CB Bobby McCain, who is converting to an outside corner, has the skills to play well in his new position.

“It’s always good to go against Bobby,” Wilson said, via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “Him moving outside, it’s the toughest fight. He plays really good technique, likes to get his hands on you. I definitely think [he can play outside]. He has the skills.”

Jets

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Jets plan to take things slow with G Brian Winters as he is recovering from an injury and he’s not expected to play in any game in the preseason.
  • According to Rapoport, the belief is that Winters will be ready for the opener.
