- Mike Rodak reports that long snapper Reid Ferguson‘s agreed to a three-year deal with the Bills worth $2.745 million.
- The contract includes cap figures of $850,000 (2019), $900,000 (2020) and $995,000 (2021) to go along with a $375,000 signing bonus and $75,000 of his $700,000 salary guaranteed this season.
Cordarrelle Patterson was asked about possibly playing running back for them full-time and believes he could handle it.
“If [RBs coach Ivan Fears] needs me to take 30 carries Sunday, I can take 30 carries,” Patterson said, via NESN.com. “If that’s what he wants, I can do it for him. Just for him.
“All season, I have to prepare myself for that. That’s a lot of big boys down there, and you get hit every play, so if I prepared myself for it, I think I can do it.”
Patterson admitted that he would need to shift around some of his weight and add some muscle.
“Then I can handle it,” Patterson said.
- Patriots LB Dont’a Hightower (illness) and DT Malcom Brown (calf) were both full participants in Friday’s practice and have been removed from the injury report.
