AFC North Notes: Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Steelers

Bengals

  • According to Paul Dehner Jr, the Bengals are “not out of the woods yet” in terms of WRย  A.J. Green‘s foot injury.
  • Dehner Jr reports that the swelling in Green’s foot has made it so they are undertaking further reviews. As of now, there’s nothing definitive regarding Green’s status.

Browns

  • The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that former QB Ryan Lindley has been named their new RBs coach.
  • The Browns worked out G David Bright on Tuesday. (Howard Balzer)

Ravens

New Ravens RB Ty Montgomery says he’s looking forward to putting what happened in the past week while a member of the Packers behind him.

โ€œI donโ€™t know if I was hopingย for a fresh start,โ€ Montgomery said, via BaltimoreRavens.com. โ€œI will say I was ready to put all of that in the past. โ€ฆ I donโ€™t want to be rude. I donโ€™t even want to talk about it anymore. If anybody is concerned, my family is safe. Iโ€™m not worried about anything.โ€

Steelers

Regarding the Steelers not acquiring any players at the trade deadline, HC Mike Tomlinย said the organization believes in developing “homegrown talent.

โ€œWe believe in homegrown talent,โ€ Tomlin said, via Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. โ€œWe invest time and resources into development of players, players buy into what weโ€™re selling and work their tails off to improve and be reasons why weโ€™re successful. I think itโ€™s difficult to walk away from relationships when people are invested. Weโ€™re invested, the players are invested.โ€
