AFC North Notes: Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Steelers

Bengals

  • The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. expects the Bengals to look at a receiver in the draft, as neither A.J. Green nor John Ross are currently under contract in 2021. 
  • Dehner mentions Baylor WR Denzel Mims as an option at the top of the second round, pointing out Bengals WR coach Bob Bicknell coached him at the Senior Bowl and two years ago at Baylor. 
  • Asked about drafting offensive linemen this weekend, Bengals HC Zac Taylor responded: “We won’t be afraid to help ourselves at any position.” (Ben Baby)
  • Taylor added Bengals 2019 first-round OT Jonah Williams was feeling good in September and should be ready to go at left tackle in 2020. (Lindsay Patterson)
  • Taylor reiterated all options are on the table with Bengals QB Andy Dalton. (Aditi Kinkhabwala)
  • Tyler Dragon reports that the Bengals had a virtual meeting with North Dakota State DE Derrek Tuszka.
  • Dragon is also reporting that a Bengals source told him the team is targeting pass rushers after the first round.

Browns

Ravens

  • Ravens QB Lamar Jackson was spotted working out with free-agent WR Antonio Brown, which touched off speculation about the Ravens potentially signing Brown. Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Jackson said he would leave that decision to the front office: “I’d be happy if they signed him . . . but it’s not my decision.” 
  • Jackson did say he thought it was important for the Ravens to replace G Marshal Yanda. Otherwise, he trusted the team. (Hensley)
  • Jackson revealed he would be on the cover of Madden 21. (Hensley)
  • Appalachian State RB Darrynton Evans has video conferenced with the Ravens. (Justin Melo)
  • Mississippi State LB Willie Gay Jr. had a visit scheduled with the Ravens before the shutdown. (Aaron Wilson)
