AFC Notes: Bills, Browns, Dolphins

Bills

  • Joe Banner mentions that one name to keep an eye on for the Bills general manager position is Chiefs Co-Director of Player Personnel Brett Veach.
  • Banner points out that Veach worked with Bills HC Sean McDermott while they were in Philadelphia and his highly respected by Chiefs HC Andy Reid.
  • Mike Rodak adds that Veach is represented by Bob LaMonte, who is also McDermott’s agent along with other notable executives such as Chris Polian and Eliot Wolf.

Browns

Here’s an update regarding the Browns’ trade from last year that allowed the Eagles to move up and select QB Carson Wentz with the No. 2 overall picks.

As of now, the Browns haul consists of:

Dolphins

  • According to Armando Salguero, the Dolphins to have first-round DE Charles Harris participate in at least 30 players per game to start off.
  • Salguero mentions that Miami views second-round LB Raekwon McMillan as a “latter-day David Harris.
  • In regards to why the team passed on Alabama LB Reuben Foster, Salguero mentions that the Dolphins simply weren’t comfortable investing a first-round pick in him, due to medical issues and other off-the-field concerns.
