AFC Notes: Browns, Chiefs, Jaguars, Raiders

Browns

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Browns are interviewing TCU co-offensive coordinator Curtis Luper for their vacant RBs coach position

Chiefs

  • Adam Rittenberg reports that the Chiefs have hired Georgia quality control coach Jay Valai as a defensive quality control coach and plan to have him work with their defensive backs as well.

Jaguars

Jaguars free agent WR Allen Robinson said Sunday that he expects to be healthy and able to pass a physical before the start of free agency in March, per Ryan O’Halloran.

Robinson added that he should be back to 100 percent next week in terms of running and jogging.

I’m progressing into it this week but next week will be 100 percent as far as running and jogging-wise,” Robinson said, per Mike Kaye.

Raiders

  • Alex Marvez reports that the Raiders actually interviewed former Texas A&M HC Kevin Sumlin for their WRs coach job before he agreed to become the next head coach at the University of Arizona.
