Browns
Regarding the Redskins declining the Browns’ multiple attempts to acquire LT Trent Williams, GM John Dorsey confirmed earlier in the week that he had a “few conversations” with Redskins’ executive Bruce Allen.
“We’ve had a few conversations,” Dorsey said, via Nate Ulrich of the Beacon Journal. “Is there anything you want me to pass on to him?”
Dorsey added that left tackles are a difficult position to acquire in trades.
“It’s just a hard position to acquire, especially right about now if you’re referring to trades,” said Dorsey.
As for the Browns continuing to pursue offensive linemen, Dorsey said they will do what is best for the organization and “make a million phone calls.”
“We’ll do what’s best for the Cleveland Browns organization,” Dorsey said. “We’ll do extensive research. We’ll make a million phone calls.”
