Jaguars

  • An NFC general manager speaks for the rest of the league in general when he tells Fansided’s Matt Lombardo no one really knows what exactly the Jaguars are going to do with the No. 1 pick.
  • Some of the other sources Lombardo talked to still think a tackle is in play, but the consensus opinion, shared by the GM, is that it’s between Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson and Georgia DE Travon Walker: “This is as wide open as I can ever remember it being as far as the No. 1 pick.  But, inside their war room, I think it comes down to Aidan Hutchinson or Travon Walker, whoever they believe is the biggest difference-maker off the edge.”

Texans

Texans QB Davis Mills continues to prepare for the upcoming season as though he will be the starter and told the media that he is comfortable leading the team for another season.

“I’m definitely comfortable,” Mills said, via Pro Football Talk. “I think the biggest thing is being a leader for the team. It starts with showing up every day. Showing the team that you are here to put in the work. I think people mention a lot that the quarterback’s role is a vocal leader and I think that comes with the position. I’ve been doing that my whole life so I’m ready for that challenge and that standpoint of it. The biggest thing is going out and showing up every day in meeting rooms, weight room, on the field, and gaining the respect of my teammates so I can take on that role.”
