Colts
Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon continues to stand behind QB Daniel Jones and says that the entire franchise will do the same, given that Jones was wanted back by everyone on the team.
“That chemistry that a quarterback needs to have with their head coach,” Irsay-Gordon said, via The Indianapolis Star. “I don’t want to name any names, but there are situations where your head coach doesn’t believe in your quarterback, I mean, you’re kind of screwed. I think Shane and Daniel really align. The quarterback is the CEO of our football team, basically. I think it also helps our team to have an identity. It helps the coaches and people like Shane know, this is what we can do.”
“The rest of the team wanted Daniel back, too,” Irsay-Gordon continued. “I think that’s really important to listen to what the team is saying, too, because they know everything. People can laugh, but the players know, and I think their input is important. Daniel is an amazing teammate. I don’t think the injury has given me pause, since we just signed him for a pretty good chunk of change. Daniel, the fact that he has that work ethic, that mindset, and what I love about him, too, is we’ve got this platform where he can go out there and prove what he wants to prove. It’s good to have guys that have a chip on their shoulder in a good way.”

Jaguars
- Jaguars HC Liam Coen spoke on the importance of retaining OC Grant Udinski and DC Anthony Campanile: “It was really important not to have re-teach systems and schemes and techniques. It will hopefully allow us to start a little faster this offseason.” (Ryan O’Halloran)
- Coen talked about CB/WR Travis Hunter: “It’s an unspoken understanding that there are some depth things (at cornerback) that he can come in and help us out. The focus more so has been, ‘How you feeling today?’ We have not dove into specifics on scheduling and role.” (O’Halloran)
- He was then asked if Hunter will participate in OTAs following his season-ending knee injury: “I don’t know. I cannot say for certain. He’s very well ahead of where he’s supposed to be. I know the docs and athletic trainers feel really good about him.” (O’Halloran)
- Coen then touched on their plans for WR Brian Thomas Jr. after 2025 didn’t go how they envisioned: “This is a great opportunity for us to look at it with BTJ this offseason: these are the true areas where we can improve, let’s go attack it with relentless pursuit and not worry about the results and what happen last year.” (O’Halloran)
- Coen also revealed he tried to hire former Buccaneers OC Josh Grizzard before he joined the Eagles. (O’Halloran)
Texans
- Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC, Texans HC DeMeco Ryans sees DL Logan Hall starting off on the interior and they will consider him on the edge later.
- Ryans talked about former QBs coach Jerrod Johnson joining the Eagles staff: “Thank him for his service to Houston Texans. I think he did a really good job. Him and C.J. have a connection from back in HS, hate to see him go, but also the nature of our business, things like that happen. I think Jerrod is going to be a really good coach. Looking at everything where we were past three years, sometimes change of scenery, change of voice, how can we help C.J. best, maybe changing of the voice, who’s giving him the information. From my perspective, lot of tough decisions, put us the Texans in the best position possible.” (Wilson)
- Ryans was asked about his opinion on the state of the team: “Feeling really good about where we are. In free agency, want to set the team and try to fill the needs. Main thing for me was trying to enhance & improve offensive line. Getting Ed Ingram back was really good for us. Had a great year, really improved. coach (Cole) Popovich did a great job helping him. Adding Evan Brown, Wyatt Teller, Braden Smith, three tough guys, experienced guys, come in we can go play right now. Also going to add more guys to enhance the competition. I really like where we’re sitting right now.” (Wilson)
- Regarding WR Tank Dell, Ryans was asked if he will be ready for OTAs: “Tank, he’s grinding. Great attitude. Don’t know if OTA’s he’ll be there, but I know he’ll back for us at some point this year. As I told Tank, it’s not a matter of getting back to OTA’s just to get back, it’s just a matter of getting back in a really good spot physically to where you stay there. That’s the main thing. It’s not about how quickly he returns. It’s just about Tank returning because we saw what Tank can do , the playmaking that he provides to our entire team. Just getting him back, whenever that time is, it’s going to lift our team.” (Wilson)
- Ryans didn’t hold back on his excitement about new S Reed Blankenship, praising his communication skills: “We’ve been looking for that starting safety opposite Calen (Bullock) for a while now. To see a guy like Reed, he was the quarterback of that Philly defense. He’s won a Super Bowl. He was the communicator. He was the guy running the show, so to speak. To see how he played plays with the edge and intensity, really love the instincts that he’s shown on tape.” (Wilson)
