Jaguars QB Blake Bortles admitted that it’s difficult when you have “no idea” what the future holds.
“The toughest part about it is you have no idea,” Bortles said, via Jaguars.com. “It’s not like anybody tells me anything or talks to my agent and tells me what they’re going to do with me. It’s kind of just unknown. … Obviously I’m here right now and I’ve got one more opportunity to play this week and finish this year out. They’re in control of what happens to me next. Whatever happens I’ll be ready. I signed a contract here for three years. I have every reason and purpose in my mind to play here for that amount of time or until they let me go, and I’ll figure that out.”
- Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) officially put in a full practice on Wednesday, which appears to be a good he could return for their Week 17 game against the Bengals.
Titans QB Marcus Mariota told reporters that he’s “optimistic” he’ll be able to start Sunday’s game against the Colts, despite his right arm injury.
“I am just trying to get back and finding every way I can to be available,” Mariota said, via ESPN.com. “Of course I am optimistic. This is what it’s about. We’re playing for everything. I am doing everything I can day and night to get ready. You find every little treatment or rehab to get back out there. That’s been my main focus.”
Mariota also said in an interview with WGFX-FM that the injury he suffered last week “basically sent my whole right side numb and tingly”
“It was one of those deals where it kind of crunched, and basically sent my whole right side numb and tingly,” Mariota said, via TitansOnline.com. “It was one of those things, man, and it’s unfortunate because nerves are weird, they take time. But again, I am fighting and I am going to do my best to be out there.”
