Chargers GM Tom Telesco said Friday that they’re “on the same page” with QB Philip Rivers in regards to a contract e

“We’re on the same page with Phil. We’ve talked about it,” Telesco said, via NFL.com. “He’s our leader now and in the future. And we’re in a good place. We’ll still have those talks, but really right now we’re focused on and he’s focused on playing. Behind the scenes we’ll probably have some talks but right now we’re getting ready for the opening game with the Colts. But like I said, he’s our quarterback now and in the future and I couldn’t be more happy to have him right now.

Chiefs

  • Jeffri Chadiha, citing a team source, reports that there is a “big gap” between the Chiefs and DL Chris Jones in contract talks. 
  • According to Chadiha, the Chiefs are offering closer to a four-year, $68 million contract with $42 million guaranteed. However, Jones is looking for a similar contract to DE Frank Clark, who agreed to a five-year, $104 million deal that includes $63 million guaranteed.

Raiders

Raiders GM Mike Mayock said the team expected “some kind of suspension” for G Richie Incognito prior to signing him

  • Raiders G Denzelle Good had back surgery five weeks ago and was placed on the physically unable to perform list.
