Ravens & LT Bryant McKinnie Reach An Agreement On A Restructured Contract

Jason La Canfora reports that the Ravens and OT Bryant McKinnie have agreed to a restructured contract that will keep him in Baltimore for the 2012 season.

It seemed like there was a decent chance that he could be released at some point today, but the two sides have apparently worked things out.

Albert Breer of NFL Network is reporting on Twitter that Baltimore Ravens left tackle Bryant McKinnie is on the way out.

McKinnie reportedly stated in a text that the two parties “couldn’t come to an agreement on a contract restructure,” bringing about his release. The Ravens want his $3.2 million base salary reduced, but they haven’t been able to come to terms.

If McKinnie is indeed leaving, he should be able to find at least some interest on the open market. Meanwhile, his exit could see Michael Oher flip back to LT, where he played in 2010 and didn’t fare too well.
