Rand Getlin reports that the Bears have claimed TE Daniel Brown off of waivers from the Ravens on Monday.
Brown, 24, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of James Madison in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to their practice squad before being promoted in November.
Brown was once again waived coming out of the preseason a few months ago before signing on to the Ravens’ practice squad a few days later. Baltimore elected to cut him loose this past weekend in series of roster moves.
In 2016, Brown has been active for two games but has yet to record a single reception.
