Bears Designate G Kyle Long To Return From Injured Reserve

According to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears designated G Kyle Long to return from injured reserve on Friday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Bears to add Long to their active roster or he would revert back to injured reserve.

Long was expected to miss 6-8 weeks after suffering a foot injury in Week 8, so this appears to have been an accurate timetable for his return.

Long, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Bears back in 2013. He’s currently in the third year of his six-year, $50.358 million contract that included $30 million and stands to make a base salary of $6.9 million this season.

In 2018, Long has appeared in seven games for the Bears.
