Bears Designate TE Adam Shaheen To Return From Injured Reserve

The Chicago Bears officially designated TE Adam Shaheen to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Bears to add him to their active roster or he would revert back to injured reserve.

Chicago placed Shaheen on injured reserve due to ankle and foot injuries coming out of the preseason.

Shaheen, 24, was selected with the No. 45 overall pick by the Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. He is in the second year of his four-year rookie contract worth $5,910,516, which included a signing bonus of $2,438,556.

In 2017, Shaheen appeared in 13 games for the Bears and recorded 12 receptions for 127 yards receiving (10.6 YPC) and three touchdowns.
