Bears Looking for a Backup QB?

Bear’s backup Quarterback, Caleb Hanie, injured his right shoulder in the teams first preseason game. Hanie will under go further tests to determine the severity of the injury but the Bears will no doubt be looking for alternative options in case the injury is worse than the initially thought.

Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times explored the teams options and didn’t come up anything that will make Bear’s fans rest assured. He mentions: JaMarcus Russell, Daunte Culpepper and Jeff Garcia as all possibilities but also adds Josh McCown’s name to the list. He points to McCown and Bears OC Mike Martz worked together in 2006 as the why he may make the most sense for the team.
