Bears Place TE Zach Miller On Reserve/PUP List

The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they’ve officially placed TE Zach Miller on the reserve/PUP list.

This means that Miller will miss the entire 2018 season, but since the Bears just re-signed him to a one-year contract, he’ll make $458,000 this year.

It’s doubtful he’ll be able to resume his NFL career following a serious knee injury that nearly cost him his leg.

Miller, 33, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2009. He signed on with the Bears in 2015 and returned to the team on a two-year, $5.5 million contract includes $3 million guaranteed in 2016.

Miller made a base salary of $1.5 million this season and will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months.

In 2017, Miller appeared in eight games and caught 20 passes for 236 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
