The Chicago Bears announced Friday that they’ve signed second-round TE Adam Shaheen to a four-year rookie contract.
According to OverTheCap.com, Shaheen will receive a four-year contract worth $5,910,516, which includes a signing bonus of $2,438,556.
Shaheen, 23, was selected with the No. 45 overall pick by the Bears after they elected to trade down from No. 36 with the Cardinals. In total, Chicago acquired a second-, fourth-, and fifth-round pick in this year’s draft and a 2018 fourth-round pick.
During his three-year college career at Ashland, Shaheen recorded 29 receptions for 1,755 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns.
