Bears Sign TE Bradley Sowell, Release QB Tyler Bray

The Bears announced on Wednesday they have released QB Tyler Bray and re-signed TE Bradley Sowell

Sowell, 30, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi back in 2012. He lasted just a year in Tampa Bay before he was later signed off of their practice squad by the Colts.

Sowell had short stints with the Cardinals and Seahawks before he signed a one-year contract with the Bears in 2017. He returned to Chicago the following year on a two-year deal.

Sowell has bounced on and off the Bears roster so far in 2019.

In 2019, Sowell has appeared in two games for the Bears, but has yet to record a statistic.
