The Chicago Bears announced Monday that they’ve signed TE Darion Clark to a futures contract for the 2020 season.
Here’s the Bears’ updated list of futures signings:
- OL Dino Boyd
- DB Xavier Crawford
- WR Reggie Davis
- DB Stephen Denmark
- WR Thomas Ives
- OL Sam Mustipher
- TE Dax Raymond
- LB James Vaughters
- WR Alex Wesley
- TE Darion Clark
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Clark is a former basketball player who is attempting to make the transition to playing tight end in the NFL, as others have done.
Clark tried out for the Bears last month, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential offseason addition.
During his college career Charlotte, USC and Grand Canyon, Clark averaged 5.5 points per game and shot 46 percent from the field over the course of four seasons 110 games.
