Bears Waive Three Players Including RB Jeremy Langford

The Chicago Bears announced Sunday that they’ve waived RB Jeremy Langford, TE Ben Braunecker, and LS Jeff Overbaugh, per Rich Campbell.

Langford, 25, was taken with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round of last year’s NFL draft by the Bears. He’s entering the second year of his four-year, $3.139 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Langford appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 62 rushing attempts for 200 yards (3.2 YPC) and four touchdowns to go along with 19 receptions for 142 yards receiving (7.5 YPC) and lost two fumbles.
