Bengals & Cardinals Interested In Broncos DE Derek Wolfe

According to Troy Renck of ABC Denver, veteran DE Derek Wolfe wants to finish his career as a member of the Broncos. However, Renck says Wolfe is currently drawing interest from the Cardinals and Bengals.

Renck previously mentioned that Wolfe’s preference would still be to re-sign with Denver, but he’s keeping an open mind after the Broncos seem willing to let him test the open market.

Wolfe just finished the final year of his contract and was the subject of trade rumors at the deadline in 2019. He finished the final four games of the season on injured reserve after an elbow injury.

Wolfe, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $36.7 million contract that included $17.5 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $8 million for the 2019 season.

In 2019, Wolfe appeared in 12 games for the Broncos and recorded 34 total tackles, seven sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defense. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 46 interior defender out of 113 qualifying players.

We have Wolfe listed in our Top 100 – 2020 NFL Free Agents list.
