Bengals Sign CB Greg Mabin To Practice Squad

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed CB Greg Mabin to their practice squad after they lost LB Noah Dawkins to the Buccaneers.

Here’s the Bengals updated practice squad:

  1. TE Moritz Bohringer (International)
  2. CB Anthony Chesley
  3. TE Jordan Franks
  4. S Trayvon Henderson
  5. TE Mason Schreck
  6. OT Wyatt Miller
  7. LB Hardy Nickerson
  8. T Dino Boyd
  9. DE Davin Bellamy
  10. WR Trenton Irwin
  11. CB Greg Mabin

Mabin, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Iowa back in 2017. He later signed on with the Buccaneers but was cut loose a few days later.

Mabin had a brief stint with the Bills before signing on to the 49ers’ practice squad during the 2017 season. He was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason and returned to San Francisco on a one-year, $645,000 extension this past May.

However, the 49ers elected to cut Mabin loose with an injury settlement last month and he signed on with the Bengals a few weeks later. Unfortunately, Cincinnati waived him earlier in the week.

In 2018, Mabin appeared in 13 games for the 49ers and recorded 16 total tackles, no interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two pass defenses.
