Bengals Sign LB Michael Boley

According to Aaron Wilson, the Bengals have signed former Giants LB Michael Boley.

Boley hasn’t played in a game since being released by the Giants this past offseason. The veteran linebacker remained unsigned to this point, which could possibly be attributed to some off-field issues that occurred months ago.

Cincinnati had shown interest in Boley before they brought him in for a workout early on in September.

This is figures to be purely a depth signing for the Bengals as their linebacking corps, which has dealt with a few injuries in recent weeks. Boley at the very least brings a veteran presence, but it’s hard to say what he offers in terms of productivity moving forward.
