Bengals Signing C Trey Hopkins To Three-Year, $20.4M Extension

Ian Rapoport reports that the Bengals and C Trey Hopkins have reached an agreement on a three-year, extension worth $20.4 million. 

According to Rapoport, Hopkins receives a $4.5 million guaranteed roster bonus and will earn $8.95 million in year one and $14.4 million in year two of the deal.

Hopkins, 27, wound up signing on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in 2014. He was on and off of their practice squad over the first three years in Cincinnati. 

The Bengals brought Hopkins back on a restricted tender worth $3.095 million for the 2019 season.

In 2019, Hopkins has appeared in all 15 games for the Bengals and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 26 center out of 37 qualifying players.
