Bengals HC Zac Taylor announced Saturday that QB Brandon Allen is out for Week 15 with a knee injury and they will instead start QB Ryan Finley for Monday’s game against the Steelers.
Regarding Allen, Taylor did say that this is not expected to be a long term absence for and “he’s truly day to day,” per Jay Morrison.
Finley, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2019. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3,306,649 contract that included a $786,649 signing bonus.
In 2020, Finley has appeared in four games for the Bengals and completed 10 of 19 pass attempts for 75 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also rushed for 19 yards.
