Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis confirmed that Cedric Benson will be available for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills despite his pending three-game suspension, per Geoff Hobson.
Lewis was able to get confirmation from the league regarding his status.
This hasn’t stopped the Bengals from looking at contingency options as they brought in veteran running backs Larry Johnson and Clinton Portis this week for workouts. Neither back was signed but that could change depending on what happens with Benson’s suspension.
