Bengals Worked Out 5 Players Including CB Loucheiz Purifoy

According to Howard Balzer, the Cincinnati Bengals brought in five free agents for tryouts on Monday including CB Loucheiz Purifoy.

The full list of tryouts for the Bengals includes:

  1. S Kenny Ladler
  2. TE A.C. Leonard
  3. CB Jonathon Mincy
  4. CB Loucheiz Purifoy
  5. WR Diontae Spencer

Purifoy, 24, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in 2014. Indianapolis wound up waiving him and was claimed off waivers by the Seahawks.

Seattle waived him with a failed physical designation after a few days. He was suspended four games by the NFL due to a substance abuse violation after becoming a free agent, then was suspended another 10 games in 2015 due to his second substance abuse violation.

He signed with the CFL’s BC Lions in March of last year.

In 2014, Purifoy appeared in 11 games for the Colts and recorded seven total tackles, one forced fumble, and one pass defense.

Mincy, 25, wound up signing on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2015. He was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason and signed on with the Montreal Alouettes in time for the 2016 CFL season.

During his two years with Montreal, Mincy has recorded 108 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles over the course of 32 games.

At Auburn, Mincy totaled 211 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and 27 pass defenses over the course of four seasons.

If you’ve got Adam Thielen, Jerick McKinnon or Eric Rudolph on your fantasy team you should start them all. This game will be Bambi vs. Godzilla.
