Bills Hosted TE Jim Dray & WR Deonte Thompson For A Visits

The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday that they recently brought in TE Jim Dray and WR Deonte Thompson for visits this week.

Dray, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract with the team before signing a three-year deal with the Browns in 2014.

He was set to make a base salary of $1.775 million for the 2016 season when he released along with DT Randy Starks close to a month ago.

In 2015, Dray appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and caught six passes for 61 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Thompson, 27, signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in 2012. The Bills later signed him off of the Ravens’ practice squad back before was waived at the start of the 2015 season.

Chicago elected to sign him to their practice squad a few weeks later and promoted him to the active roster towards the end of the year.

In 2015, Thompson appeared in seven games and caught two passes for 81 yards receiving while also contributing 409 kick return yards for the Bears.
