Bills Tried Out WR Terrelle Pryor & QB Kyle Allen

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bills are hosting free agent WR Terrelle Pryor for a visit on Monday.

  • Josina Anderson reports that the Bills have offered Pryor a contract that is currently under consideration.
  • According to Howard Balzer, the Bills also worked out QB Kyle Allen.

A report from last week said that the Jets could revisit bringing Pryor back this week, but it appears as though he plans to see what’s out there for him.

Pryor, 29, was taken by the Raiders in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft. He lasted a little over three years in Oakland before he was traded to the Seahawks for a seventh-round pick that ultimately became DB Jonathan Dowling.

Pryor briefly played for the Chiefs and Bengals before later being claimed off of waivers by the Browns. Cleveland elected to cut him loose to make room for RB Robert Turbin last year before bringing him back.

The Browns signed him to a one-year, $1.67 million restricted deal in 2016 before he departed for a one-year, $6 million contract with the Redskins.

Pryor signed a one-year contract with the Jets this offseason worth $4.5 million with $2 million guaranteed only to release him last weekend with an injury settlement.

In 2018, Pryor has appeared in six games and recorded 14 receptions for 235 yards receiving (16.8 YPC) and scored two touchdowns.

Allen, 22, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent back in April. He began his college career at Texas A&M before transferring after two seasons and joining Houston for the 2017 season.

Allen was waived coming out of the preseason before the Panthers added him to their practice squad last week, but elected to waive him last month in favor of DT Kendrick Norton.

During his college career, Allen threw for 4,283 yards while completing 61.7 percent of his passes to go along with 37 touchdowns and 18 interceptions over the course of three seasons and 24 total games played.
