The Buffalo Bills announced Saturday that TE Dawson Knox tested positive for COVID-19 and has been placed on the COVID-19 list along with tight ends Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeney (PUP list), and practice squad Nate Becker.
The Bills also promoted WR Duke Williams, OL Jordan Devey, LB Andre Smith and CB Dane Jackson to their active roster.
Bills LB Tyrel Dodson was also placed on injured reserve.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Knox, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Bills back in 2019. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $3,342,172 rookie contract that included an $822,172 signing bonus.
In 2020, Knox has appeared in four games for the Bills and caught six passes for 93 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
