Bills Place OL Jeremiah Sirles On IR, Sign S Abraham Wallace

The Bills announced Tuesday they’ve signed S Abraham Wallace to a one-year deal and waived WR Da’Mari Scott in a corresponding move.

The Bills also placed OL Jeremiah Sirles on injured reserve to clear a spot for OL Isaac Asiata, signed yesterday.

Sirles, 27, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and spent the year on the team’s practice squad.

The Chargers later traded Sirles to the Vikings in return for a 2016 sixth-round pick that eventually became FB Derek Watt. Minnesota brought Sirles back on an exclusive rights contract in 2017 but declined to tender him a contract as a restricted free agent last year.

The Panthers signed Sirles to a contract only to release him with an injury settlement at the start of the 2018 regular season. Buffalo signed him to a contract a few weeks later and gave him a one-year extension this offseason.

In 2018, Sirles appeared in 12 games for the Bills and played 140 snaps.

Wallace, 23, was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of West Alabama following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived a couple weeks later before being brought back ahead of camp.

Wallace played at LSU and Texans Tech before transferring to West Alabama, where he recorded 60 tackles, half a sack, one forced fumble, two interceptions and eight pass defenses in his senior season.
