The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that they’ve re-signed kickoff specialist Jordan Gay and cut S Josh Bush.
Bills HC Rex Ryan told reporters earlier in the day that they were bringing Gay back at some point in the near future, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Gay, 25, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Centre back in 2013. Since then, Gay had a brief stint with the Giants before returning to Carolina following last year’s NFL draft.
The Bills later claimed Gay off of waivers and re-signed him this past offseason. However, Gay was placed on waivers a few weeks ago.
Last year, Gay appeared in four games for the Bills and totaled 14 touchbacks.
