Report: Bills Sign DT Alan Branch To A One-Year Deal

Jason La Canfora reports that the Bills have signed free agent DT Alan Branch to a one-year deal worth $3 million and includes another $350,000 that can be earned in incentives.

Branch, 28, just recently fired his agency CAA and hired Blake Baratz as his agent, so it appears to be paying off, considering that there was almost no interest before he switched representation.

He joins a strong defensive line that includes Kyle Williams and Marcel Dareus, so it seems likely that he’ll be asked to take on situational role. Still, this could be a good value signing by the Bills.

We had him listed as the No. 18 player in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that free agent DT Alan Branch will visit the Bills on Tuesday.

La Canfora adds that Buffalo is “pretty interested in getting something done.

ESPN’s John Clayton previously tossed out the Packers as a speculative option, but that idea seems doubtful given their approach towards free agency.
