ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Denver Broncos have made the decision to franchise K Matt Prater.
Prater becomes the fourth kicker to receive the designation which will pay him a salary of $2.6 million for the upcoming season. He put together a very solid season for the Broncos last year and made four game-winning field goals for them. Keeping him away from the open market was the right move for Denver.
