Broncos LB Jerrol Garcia-Williams Suffers Season-Ending Knee Injury

Mike Klis of 9News reports that Broncos LB Jerrol Garcia-Williams suffered an ACL injury during Tuesday’s practice and will undergo season-ending surgery.

He should be expected to be placed on the injured reserve in the coming days.

Garcia-Williams, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Hawaii back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

Denver later called him up in October and Garcia-Williams wound up finishing out the year on the active roster. The Broncos re-signed to a one-year exclusive rights contract this offseason.

In 2017, Garcia-Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded two tackles and no sacks.
