Denver just activated Trevathan from the short-term injured reserve list on Saturday, but he unfortunately re-injured his knee. The expectation was that he was done for the year, so this news really doesn’t come as a much of a surprise.
Trevathan, 24, is in the third year of his four-year, $2,204,072 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.
This season, he has been limited to appearing in just three games and recording 11 tackles.
