According to Nicki Jhabvala, the Broncos have officially signed LB Corey Nelson and CB Davontae Harris to their active roster on Monday.
Nelson, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,268,600 contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season before signing one-year, $1.6 million contract with the Eagles last year.
Unfortunately, the Eagles elected to release Nelson in a move that cleared $1 million of available cap space. After a brief stint with the Falcons, Nelson signed a futures contract with the Buccaneers but was among their roster cuts.
In 2017, Nelson appeared in five games for the Broncos and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
Harris, 24, was selected in the fifth roundin 2018 out of Illinois State by the Bengals. He agreed to a four-year, $2,748,576 contract and stands to make a base salary of $480,000 for the 2018 season.
The Bengals placed Harris on injured reserve coming out of the preseason with a knee injury before designating him to return.
In 2018, Harris appeared in three games for the Bengals and recorded one tackle.
