Broncos Sign S Shamarko Thomas To Futures Contract

Mike Klis reports that the Broncos have signed S Shamarko Thomas to a futures contract on Wednesday for the 2019 season.

As of now, the Redskins have signed 10 players to futures deals including:

1. WR Fred Brown
2. QB Garrett Grayson
3. WR Chad Hansen
4. LB A.J. Johnson
5. OT Andreas Knappe
6. DT Caushaud Lyons
7. RB Khalfani Muhammad
8. G Austin Schlottmann
9. DB Linden Stephens
10. S Shamarko Thomas

Thomas, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contract with the Steelers and before signing on with the Jets last summer.

Thomas has brief stints with the Jets, Bills and Colts before signing on with the Broncos. Denver waived him coming out of the preseason, but elected to re-sign him a few weeks later.

The Broncos waived him last month.

In 2018, Thomas appeared in six games for the Broncos and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses.
