Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman Out For Season With Broken Ribs, Bruised Lung

Mike Klis of 9 News reports that Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman suffered broken ribs and a bruised lung during Sunday’s win over the Steelers and is out for the season.

You can expect the Broncos to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Heuerman, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.945 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Heuerman will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Heuerman appeared in 11 games for the Broncos and caught 31 passes for 281 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
