Browns Hosted Three Free Agents

According to Howard Balzer, the Browns brought in free agent C Jake Eldrenkamp and DL Brian Mihalik for workouts this week and hosted LB Asantay Brown for a visit.

Mihalik, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2015. He was unable to make their 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Eagles’ practice squad.

Philadelphia eventually waived him from their taxi squad with an injury settlement. Mihalik would later sign a future/reserve contract with the Steelers. However, he was waived with the injury designation and later placed on injured reserve after clearing waivers.

The Steelers later waived him from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement signed on with the Lions’ active roster, where he finished out 2017. He was among Detroit’s final roster cuts this preseason.

In 2017, Mihalik appeared in 15 games for the Lions and recorded one tackle and no sacks.
