The Browns announced Tuesday they have promoted S Jovante Moffatt from the practice squad to the active roster.

Moffatt fills one of the two active roster spots the Browns had available.
Moffatt, 23, signed with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State following the draft this past April. He was waived coming out of training camp and re-signed to Cleveland’s practice squad.
During his five-year college career, Moffatt recorded 312 total tackles, including five for a loss, two forced fumbles, one recovery, five interceptions and 12 pass defenses in 43 career games.
