Browns Sign QB Drew Stanton To Two-Year Deal Worth Up To $11.3M

The Browns are signing veteran QB Drew Stanton to a two-year contract on Sunday, according to his agent Mike McCartney.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Browns signed Stanton to a two-year contract worth $6.5 million and can be worth up $11.3 million.

The Browns recently met with Stanton, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.

Stanton, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2007. He spent three years in Detroit before signing on with the Cardinals for the 2014 season.

Stanton played out the final year of his two-year, $6.5 million contract and made a base salary fo $2.5 million for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Stanton has appeared in five games and thrown for 894 yards while completing 49.7 percent of his passes to go along with six touchdowns and five interceptions.
