Browns Sign TE Connor Hamlett To Practice Squad

The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve signed TE Connor Hamlett to their practice squad on Wednesday.

The Browns’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OL Dan France
  2. CB Trey Caldwell
  3. LB Scooby Wright
  4. WR Josh Boyce
  5. C Anthony Fabiano
  6. WR Jordan Leslie
  7. RB Terrence Magee
  8. DT Gabe Wright
  9. DB Darius Hillary
  10. TE Connor Hamlett

Hamlett, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Oregon State back in May of last year before signing on with the Jaguars. Unfortunately, he was among the Jaguars’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Eagles’ practice squad during the season.

After a brief stint on the Saints’ practice squad, Hamlett signed a future/reserve contract with the Browns. However, he was once again unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Browns’ practice squad.

The Browns promoted to their active roster last month before cutting him loose earlier in the week.

In 2016, Hamlett has appeared in three games and caught one pass for 17 yards receiving and one touchdown.
