Browns Sign WR Breshad Perriman, Place WR Derrick Willies On IR

Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are signing WR Breshad Perriman to their active roster on Saturday.

The Browns have already confirmed the move and announced that they’ve placed WR Derrick Willies on injured reserve with a broken collarbone.

Perriman reportedly worked out for the Browns Saturday morning and was impressive enough to earn an offer.

Perriman, 24, is a former first-round pick out of Central Florida by the Ravens in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $8.705 million rookie contract and was set to earn a base salary of $972,606 for the 2018 season when he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

The Redskins signed Perriman to a contract last month only to cut him loose soon after.

In 2017, Perriman appeared in 11 games for the Ravens and recorded 10 receptions for 77 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him as the last overall receiver out of 116 players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
